The 6th Annual Shoot 4 Autism charity event recently took place at the Grantville Rifle Club in Victoria. The event was conducted over 2 days and had over 50 shooters from across Victoria and NSW compete.

To date, the charity has raised $30k+ over the last 6 years. All funds raised from the event were donated to support the children from the Southern Autistic School in Victoria. The funds raised assisted with the development of programs and infrastructure of specialist facilities.

Saturday consisted of 3 x 500 yards (10 shots) and Sunday 2 x 600 yards (15 shots). Highlights from Day 1 saw 91 year old veteran shooter Kevin Armstrong finish third place in FB shooting a 60.4, Jason O’Rourke shoot a 60.10 in FA, and Cowan Fuge winning the Junior Shoot 4 Autism Challenge. Highlights from Day 2 saw Trevor Jury shoot 60.15 in FO, Sophie Elphick and Hayley Steer shooting 60’s, and Dennis Lynn winning the Steer/Carpeggiani Rising Star Award. Autism Challenge winners for the 2 year aggregate were John Simons, Trevor Jury, Marty Kelly, and Ross Jackson.

The event organisers said “the charity would not be possible without our awesome partners and main sponsor ADI World Class Powders and Ammunition. This is the 6th straight year that ADI has sponsored the charity.”

Congratulations to all of the winners and to Shoot 4 Autism on a successful event. It was a great privilege for ADI to be involved and we look forward to continuing our partnership in 2020.
